Dubbing Videos with AI in Powtoon

This article explains how to use Powtoon's AI dubbing feature to translate and dub an existing video into another language. It applies to users who have access to AI dubbing in Powtoon.

Step 1: Upload and Place Your Video on the Stage

Upload your video file into Powtoon and place it onto the main editing stage where you can see and play it back.

Step 2: Review the Original Video

Play your video in its original language (for example, English) to confirm that the content and audio are correct before dubbing.

Step 3: Select the Video Element

Click on the video element on the stage to select it. This ensures the dubbing options you apply will be associated with the correct video.

Step 4: Open Video Settings

With the video selected, click the settings gear icon to open the video settings panel.

Step 5: Access the Dub Video Feature

In the video settings, click on the “Dub Video” option to open the AI dubbing dialog.

Step 6: Choose the Target Language and Start Dubbing

From the list of available languages (up to 180 options), select your desired target language—for example, Spanish—and then click “Start Dubbing” to begin the AI dubbing process.

Step 7: Preview the Dubbed Video

After a short processing time, play back your video in the newly selected language to confirm the dubbing results and finalize your localized content.

Success Confirmation

You have successfully created a dubbed version of your video. The video plays with AI-generated audio in the language you selected.
