How to Create a Video with AI Text to Video (VEO 3)

Powered by Google VEO 3, turn your ideas into amazing video footage with just a few words. You can create videos from the Workspace, or directly from the Powtoon Studio. All the videos you generate are saved in the My Video section of your Powtoon account.

This article guides you through generating high-quality video footage from a text prompt using the Google Veo 3 engine. This feature is available to all Premium and Enterprise users directly from their account workspace.

Using Text to Video from the Workspace

1. Click on AI Tools and select Generate Clicks & Images button.

   
   
    

2. Select on Short Clip

   
   
    

3. Describe your Video, select Veo3, and click the arrow icon to open the dialogue box.

   
   
    

4. Select the Aspect Ratio and the length of the video.
   
    
5. Select the audio option.
   
    
6. Click Generate video.
   
    
7. In just a few moments, you're video will be created.
8. Click on the Play button to preview the video. 
   
    
9. If you are happy with the video, you can use it in the Studio, regenerate the same video, or add a different prompt and generate a new video.

Using Text to Video from the Studio

There are two ways to use the text to video feature from inside the Studio

1. From the Media Tab (on the Right side of the studio)
2. From the Script Panel (on the left side of the studio)

Text to Video from the Media Tab

When using Text to Video inside of the Powtoon Studio, you have the option to add a single reference image to help guide the AI generation. The image will be used as the initial keyframe for your video. 

1. Click on the Media tab on the right side of the studio.
2. Click the Generate  .
   
    

3. Select Short clip

     

    

   4. Select Veo3

   
   
    

4. If you want, add a reference image. The image will act as the first frame of the video.
   
    
5. Describe your video.
   
    
6. Select the Aspect Ratio and the length of the video.
   
    
7. Select the audio option.
   
    
8. Click Generate video.
   
    
9. In just a few moments, you're video will be created.
10. Click on the Play button to preview the video. 
    
     
11. If you are happy with the video, you can add it to your scene, regenerate the same video, or add a different prompt and generate a new video.

Text to Video from the Script Panel

1. Click on the Script tab in the left side of the Powtoon Studio.
   
2. Write your prompt in the Slide Description field and click Generate Video.
   
3. The Text to Video module will open.
4. Select the desired settings, and click Generate Video.
   
   
    

Costs per Use

Text to Video costs 3 credits per second without audio.
Text to Video with audio costs 5 credits per second.

Downloading your Video

If you want to download the video you generate, you can download it directly by clicking the download icon.

You can also download it directly inside the Powtoon Studio. 

1. Open the Powtoon Studio.
2. Click on the Media tab, and click My Media.
   
3. Mouse over the video you want to download, and click the the dots.
4. Click Download.
   
5. The Video will automatically be downloaded to your computer.
