Anything-to-Video Now Lets You Review and Edit Your Script Before Generation
With Anything-to-Video now working like Doc-to-Video, users can review and edit the script before generating their video — giving them more control and confidence in the final result.
💡 From our user research, the biggest friction point with Anything-to-Video was script trust. Users loved the speed, but often felt like they were “handing over the keys.” This update puts them back in the driver’s seat.
New Workspace
We’ve redesigned the workspace to make creation faster, simpler, and more intuitive — especially for users creating with AI.
Here’s what’s changed and why it matters:
- AI Tools is now the default landing tab
Users land directly in AI creation as soon as they open the workspace — no extra clicks needed. - Doc to Video is now the first flow users see
This is the fastest way to turn existing content into a video. Users can simply upload a document, deck, or brief and quickly generate a polished video.
Best tutorial opener: “Upload a doc → get a video.” - All core AI tools are now in one place
Anything-to-Video, AI Voiceover, image generation, and clip generation are now grouped together in a single tab. Users no longer need to search across different areas of the platform. - Company Templates appear first
On the Templates tab, brand-approved company templates now appear before generic template collections. This makes it much easier for teams to stay on-brand by default. - Blank canvas is easier to access
Users who prefer to start from scratch can now do so in just one click through the new Blank tab in the top navigation. - Manage Teams and Brand Kits moved to the left-side menu
Admin tools are now more visible and easier to access, instead of being tucked away in the right-side toolbox. - Existing projects and libraries stay exactly the same
“My Powtoons,” saved projects, and libraries are all still there. Nothing is lost or moved unexpectedly. - Cleaner, more modern design
The workspace now feels lighter, more focused, and less cluttered, with a clearer layout that better matches the experience users expect from modern AI tools.
PPTX Import, Reimagined: Now Featuring Narrated Presentations
Until now, importing a PPTX often meant limited conversion options and inconsistent results—especially for L&D teams with large libraries of training decks who simply wanted a fast way to turn existing slides into narrated videos without losing their original design.
That changes now.
What’s new!
PPTX Import now gives you a clear choice right after upload
When a PPTX file is imported, users are presented with a simple fork screen offering three paths:
1. Narrated Presentation (Preserve your slides)
Keep your original slide design exactly as created. Each slide is imported as-is and enhanced with AI-generated voiceover based on your speaker notes and slide content.
- Choose from a range of AI voices (TTS)
- See credit usage upfront before generating
- Instantly produce a ready-to-play narrated video from your existing deck
2. Transform with AI
Send your presentation into the Anything-to-Video flow to fully reimagine it as a newly generated AI video with updated visuals, structure, and storytelling.
3. Continue without AI (Legacy option)
A lower-priority option remains available for users who prefer the traditional conversion flow.
Narrated Presentation Flow highlights
This new mode is designed for teams who want speed without sacrificing control:
- Your slides are preserved exactly as designed
- AI voiceover is automatically generated from slide context and speaker notes
- Users can preview voice selection and credit cost before generation
- Output is a clean, professional narrated video built directly from existing materials
In short: you can now turn your existing PPTX decks into polished narrated videos—without rebuilding them from scratch.
📐 Introducing Object Snapping
Creating perfectly aligned designs in Powtoon is now easier than ever.
With Object Snapping, objects automatically snap into place as you move or resize them, helping you create polished, professional-looking scenes with less effort.
Here's what you can expect:
- Snap to other objects – Align edges and centers with nearby objects using smart guides.
- Snap to the stage – Easily center and align objects on the canvas.
- Snap to the grid – When Grid View is enabled, objects snap neatly to grid lines for precise placement and sizing.
Whether you're arranging text, icons, shapes, or images, Object Snapping makes it faster and easier to achieve clean, accurate layouts—without the guesswork. Happy creating! ✨
