Designed text is a combination of an object (such as a callout or rectangle), text, and artistic elements. When you add designed text to your slide, its components are added to the timeline in exactly the right order to display and play perfectly.
Before you start
You must be working in Create mode inside Powtoon Studio to access the designed text library. Designed text is available to all Powtoon users.
Although all the components of designed text are predesigned, you can edit any or all of the components. Below are several examples of designed text:
To add designed text:
- In the Powtoon Studio, make sure that you are working in Create mode.
- Select the Text tab.
- Select the desired category under Add designed text
- Select the designed text that you want to add to your Powtoon.
What does designed text look like
Designed text styles vary by category. Common examples include banner-style title treatments, speech-bubble callouts with decorative borders, and label combinations that pair a shape with a short text overlay. Each style is self-contained — the object, text, and artistic elements are grouped and ready to use without additional setup.
What happens next
After you add designed text, it appears on the stage and in the timeline. You can reposition it on the stage by dragging it, resize it using the corner handles, and edit the text by double-clicking the text component. Changes are saved automatically to your Powtoon.
