You can attach a hyperlink to any object or text in your Powtoon so that viewers can click it and open a website or landing page. The link is active in the Powtoon player whether the Powtoon is playing or paused.
Note:
Links are clickable only in the Powtoon player. They are not active in exported video files (MP4 files).
- Select the object or text to which you want to add a hyperlink.
- Click Settings.
- Click Link.
- Type the URL (website address) to which you want to link the object or text.
- Click Apply.
In the player page, the link is active both when the Powtoon is played or paused.
How the hyperlink behaves in the player
Once you have added a hyperlink to an object or text, the link is active in the Powtoon player both when the Powtoon is playing and when it is paused. Viewers can click the linked element at any point during playback to open the destination URL in their browser.
Note: Hyperlinks do not carry over to exported MP4 files. If your goal is to share a clickable link with viewers, publish your Powtoon and share the player link rather than the exported file.
