This article explains how to use Batch Editing to update the same background color across multiple slides in your Powtoon. This feature is available when your Powtoon contains multiple slides with matching background colors.
Change a Background Color Across Multiple Slides
- Select the slide that contains the background color you want to update.
- Click the Background Color picker.
- Choose the new color you want to use.
- Click Apply to Matching Colors.
Powtoon will automatically replace that background color on all slides that use the same color.
Example: If several slides use a light green background and you change it to dark green using Apply to Matching Colors, all matching light green backgrounds will be updated.
Note: It may take a few seconds for the slide thumbnails to refresh and display the updated colors.
Why Don't I See "Apply to Matching Colors"?
There Are No Matching Background Colors
The Apply to Matching Colors option only appears when Powtoon detects other slides using the same background color.
If no other slides use that color, the option will not be displayed.
Success Confirmation
The update is successful when all slides that previously used the matching background color display the new color.
Didn't Work?
If Apply to Matching Colors does not appear, verify that at least two slides use the same background color. If the issue persists, contact Powtoon Support and include details about your project and the steps you followed.
