Batch Editing lets you update a background color on one slide and automatically apply that change to every other slide in your Powtoon that shares the same background color. This saves you from updating each slide individually.
Change a Background Color Across Multiple Slides
- Select the slide that contains the background color you want to update.
- Click the Background Color picker.
- Choose the new color you want to use.
- Click Apply to Matching Colors.
Powtoon will automatically replace that background color on all slides that use the same color.
Example: If several slides use a light green background and you change it to dark green using Apply to Matching Colors, all matching light green backgrounds will be updated.
Note: It may take a few seconds for the slide thumbnails to refresh and display the updated colors.
Why does the "Apply to matching colors" option not appear
If you do not see the Apply to matching colors option after selecting a new color, the most likely reason is that no other slides in your Powtoon use the same background color as the slide you selected. The Batch Editing option only appears when there is at least one other matching background to update.
To use Batch Editing for backgrounds, your Powtoon must have two or more slides that share the same background color.
